Knowledge sharing

Producing and sharing knowledge on biodiversity challenges is crucial to encouraging and accelerating local stakeholder action. The data are intended to support decision-making and facilitate the move towards implementation.

LIFE Biodiv’Est is committed to improving knowledge of regional biodiversity

  • 11stakeholder meeting for the green and blue infrastucture
  • 16 webinars exploring the natural wealth of the Grand Est
  • 3brochures released between 2023 and 2024

Through the development and distribution of indicators on regional biodiversity, the condition of natural environments and species is evaluated at a specific point in time and can be tracked over the long term using datasheets and brochures accessible to all.

Updating the green and blue network maps in Grand Est will enable key ecological connectivity challenges to effectively inform coherent restoration policies at the regional level.

Through the development of a cartographic tool that visualises water and biodiversity challenges in a selected territory, along with available ecological engineering solutions, we seek to improve access to high-quality information and encourage the move towards implementation. All available data is displayed and centralised on an interactive map, which can be accessed here
